Eight time Academy Award-nominated actress Glenn Close was born and raised in Greenwich, Connecticut.

Glenn was a noted Broadway performer when she was cast in her award-winning role as Jenny Fields in The World According to Garp (1982) alongside Robin Williams.

Is an "EGOT" Nominee, which means that she has been nominated for an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony award.

Her family has been in Greenwich for twelve generations and her family was one of the four that founded the town in the late 17th Century.
